Tour Plan

Join us for a thrilling 6-day toubkal trek through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Your journey begins with a pick-up from your Marrakesh accommodation, followed by a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains to the Imlil valley, the starting point of the trek. From here, you will load your gear onto mules and set off on a hike through the valley towards Tacheddirt. Along the way, you will ascend to the pass at Tizi n'Tamatert, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. After a short climb to the charming village of Ouaneskra, you will descend to Tacheddirt and set up camp for the night by the peaceful river. End the day by relaxing and taking in the natural surroundings of this gorgeous region.
On the second day of the adventure, start your day with a nourishing breakfast to fuel your body for the challenging hike ahead. Embark on a strenuous trek through the beautiful Atlas Mountains, starting with a steep climb to the pass at Tizi Likemt. The loose scree on the ground adds to the difficulty of the journey, but the stunning views from the summit make it all worth it. After crossing the valley, you will begin a descent to the settlement of Azib Likemt, where you will set up camp for the night. This 6-hour hike is an opportunity to fully experience the beauty of the region and challenge yourself physically.
On the third day of the trek, you will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of landscapes as you make your way through the region. You will have multiple opportunities to admire the stunning Toubkal mountain, including views of the summit, east face, and Ifni Dome from Tizi n'Ououraine (3,120m) (3,876m). The route will then take you through Amsouzert, a charming and unique village in the area. You will spend the night in a basic village hostel, completing a journey that takes approximately 6 to 7 hours of walking.
On the fourth day of the trek, you will set off towards Ifni Lake, the only lake in the mountain range. As you pass through the small towns west of Amsouzert, you will be surrounded by rugged mountains and towering piles of debris, creating an awe-inspiring landscape. By midday, you should reach the lake, where you can spend the afternoon relaxing by the water. You will set up camp here for the night, completing a journey that takes approximately 4 hours of walking.
As you approach the fifth day of the trek, you should be well-prepared and acclimated to tackle the toughest day of the journey. The day starts with a seemingly endless ascent up a slope of scree, following a steep trail. You will eventually reach the pass at Tizi n'Ouanoums (3,664m), a small ledge situated between two rock shafts. After a long, winding descent, you will spend the night at Nelter Hut, a mountain refuge. Alternatively, you may choose to set up camp outside. This day of the trek is expected to take 6 to 7 hours of walking.
On the final day of the 6 days Toubkal Trek, you will set out early in the morning and follow a well-traveled path to the summit. Upon reaching the peak, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the entire Atlas range and the plains beyond Marrakech. If the weather is favorable, this portion of the journey should take no more than 2 to 3 hours. After returning to the starting point, you will quickly descend to the towns of Sidi Chamharouch and Aremd, continuing along a heavily forested track that follows the Mizane River to the trailhead at Imlil. At the end of the day, you will be driven to Marrakech. The trek is expected to take approximately 9 to 10 hours of walking in total.
