Begin your epic 3-day Toubkal Trek in the stunning Atlas Mountains of Morocco with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. You'll be greeted by our friendly local team, including an English-speaking guide and mule drivers, at the starting point in Imlil valley. After a refreshing welcome mint tea at a guesthouse, your guide will give you a map and show you the route for the day. After a moderate hike of about two hours, you'll stop at the beautiful Chamharouch shrine for lunch. The rest of the day's hike will take another 5 to 6 hours as you make your way uphill to the comfortable refuge for the night.
Get ready for a challenging and rewarding day on the Toubkal Trek! After an early breakfast at the refuge, you'll embark on an uphill climb on a rocky and rugged terrain. The climb usually takes about three hours, but the breathtaking views from the top of the highest peak in North Africa will be worth it. After a short break to soak in the beauty of the high Atlas Mountains, you'll make your way back down to the base-camp, where you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. You'll spend another comfortable night at the refuge after a full day of hiking that will take approximately 6 to 7 hours.
On the final day of the Toubkal Trek, you'll wake up to a delicious breakfast before setting off on the return journey down the mountain. You'll follow the same route back to Imlil, where you can enjoy a hearty lunch at a guesthouse before being transferred back to Marrakech. The day's hike will take approximately 4 to 5 hours, plus a 1.5 hour drive back to Marrakech. It is feasible to climb Mount Toubkal in a one day. Even though it would require a very early morning start, the journey is often completed in two days.
Is it difficult to climb Toubkal?
