Essaouira Horse Riding 5 Day Trip: On this exciting horse trek, enjoy the sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean as you ride along the beach, desert dunes, and Argan forests.

Join us for a five-day horseback ride along the Atlantic coast of Essaouira. We provide an authentically wild experience in a picturesque location, in the midst of unspoiled nature, with expansive vistas and nights spent outside under the stars. For a horseback riding experience that is truly representative of Morocco, seek out its Argan forests, Sidi Kaouki, and quaint Berber villages like Douar Larab, Ida Ougourd, and Sidi Mhand O Mhand, well known for Argan oil production. Gallop past endless stretches of deserted beaches and marvelous dunes.

Tour Plan

Transfer to the stable in Diabat, three kilometers from Essaouira, where the adventure will begin. Getting to know the horses while also catching up with the rest of the team. As we start off on our adventure down the Oued El Ksob, we will pass through a variety of diverse forests on our way to the picturesque town of Douar Larab. After some time has passed, we will pull off for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we will ride to Ida Ougourd, a village situated around twenty kilometers from Cité des Alizés. In the midst of the argan trees are the remnants of an ancient sugar factory, as well as a number of marabouts. The weekly souk occurs each Wednesday. So, to get to our bivouac, which is near a once-famous sugar refinery in the area, we will take many trails and go through several villages. At the campsite, you'll find a tea service and a spread of Moroccan sweets. After that, you're free to relax. Having dinner and spending the night in a genuine Kaidal tent.
The first part of the day consists of a trek along a river, which we start after breakfast and continue until we reach the dam. The perfect place for a picnic meal is by the dam. Along the road, we are going to go in the general direction of the little Berber village of Sidi Mhand o Mhand, which is where our camp is located. Pay a visit to a group of ladies who are members of an Argan cooperative and who work together to produce argan oil. At the campsite, you'll find a tea service and a spread of Moroccan sweets. After that, you're free to relax. Having dinner and spending the night in a genuine Kaidal tent.
Following breakfast, we begin our journey to Sidi Kaouki, which takes us past a number of big argan tree forests and quaint Berber towns. Later, we stop for a picnic lunch. Trek to the village of Iftane, where a vast sand beach lies 20 kilometers from Sidi Kaouki, at the conclusion of a 12-kilometer path. Our overnight camp is hidden from the wind in a spectacular bay bordered by rocks, with breathtaking views of the ocean. At the campsite, you'll find a tea service and a spread of Moroccan sweets. After that, you're free to relax and watch the sun go down over the ocean. Having dinner and spending the night in a genuine Kaidal tent.
Following breakfast, we will mount our horses once again and ride for around two hours over cliffs that feature breathtaking scenery in the direction of the waterfalls of Sidi Mbarek, where we will have a picnic lunch. Following lunch, we will travel down a string of beaches until we reach our campsite at Sidi Kaouki, which is located close to the water. A tea service and an assortment of Moroccan delicacies are available at the campsite. After that, you are free to unwind and see the sun set over the water. Dine and spend the night in an authentic Kaidal tent. (Overnight accommodations at a guest house are an option.)
After we have finished our breakfast, we are going to saddle up our horses and go to Essaouira first thing in the morning. There will be a lot of lengthy beaches that are completely vacant. As we make our way through the woods, we will come upon a quaint fishing village along the way. Following a brief break for lunch, we will go further toward Diabat, making our way through other sand dunes and beaches along the way. At around 16:30, you are anticipated to arrive at the stables. We will deliver you to Essaouira at the end of your horseback riding excursion that will last for five days.
